1972 League Cup Final Stoke City v Chelsea FC DVD
I brought this DVD for someone at Christmas, and was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable it was. It tells the complete story of the greatest day in the club's long history. After 109 years of trying, success had finally arrived for Stoke City. The 1970's had seen an upturn in fortune for the Potters, having reached the FA Cup semi final in 1971, the 1972 witnessed the Club's first ever Cup final appearance, and what an afternoon it proved to be. Defeating Manchester United and West Ham along the way, it was Chelsea in the final and a capacity Wembley crowd waited. The Londoners were the pundits favourites, but under the skillful leadership of manager Tony Waddington, the second oldest club in the country began brightly and took the lead through Terry Conroy after just five minutes play. The DVD also features legendary goalkeeper Gordon Banks who really was a 'Hero who could fly'. Every Stoke City fan must own this DVD!!!!
